Krewe De Louisiane 2008/Nikki's B-day creep.

Krewe De Louisiane 2008

This weekend I drove back to my hometown, Baton Rouge Louisiana. I was in a constant rush to get dressed for what was going to be one of the best nights of this year. The Mardi Gras Ball of Baton Rouge. I put on my best dress and headed downtown to the Baton Rouge Convention Center. I met up with all of my friends, and began to get in the Mardi Gras spirit. They presented ten lovely ladies as the Belles of the ball, and then the parade began. As the Southern Band played the level of sound only made the happiness grow even bigger. Beads were thrown, and the lights were dimmed. The bottles popped, and the food came out. And we all began to here the familiar sound of that famous Louisiana Jazz and swing music. We danced until we could not dance anymore. One band would play, then we walked to the other side to hear their music while the other took a break. The bottom of my dress was drenched in "Bourbon juice" it seemed like. It was disgustingly sticky and brown. My feet would step on it and so would others.

PARTYYYY!

I ran into more people I knew and it was amazing to see all these familiar faces that I don't get to see everyday anymore. socializing is something I enjoy more than anything, and nothing brings a smile to my face like reminiscing old memories. The lights came on and
it was the end of the night. Luckily our ride was waiting outside, and we were ready to just crash. We began to ramble on about the many things that happened, and all the people we saw. We repeatedly said the same things over and over not on purpose but just because it was fresh in our minds, and
we could not get it out. I know that this was one of the best memories and almost just as fun as last year.

NIKKI DEAN IS FINALLY LEGAL!...but has a birthday creep!

Saturday was a big day for my friend Nikki-Dean. She was finally one year older. We surprised her at a Sushi restaurant and cracked open the cake. We blindfolded her and brought her out. She was in shock, but loved every minute of it. The night was amazing but there was one damper. Nikki's creepy neighbor decided to come. This is a greased hair, skinny fair skinned, tall lanky guy. In his mid thirties. Which is no acceptable by any means. I first noticed how lost he looked in the bar. I was thinking look at this creepy guy trying to be all suave with his leather tench coat over his shoulder trying to hide the dyed daises he bought for some girl. He walked around for about an hour, I was beginning to think he got stood up at the bar, which is quite comical by itself. I later find out he was there for nikki. she was petrified, and finally we left so he would leave her alone. Thankfully we did not go back to her house, or we would have heard his knocks on the door that her mom told us about. He was trying to "check" on her and see is she was okay. Which is very nice, but obviously not what he wanted. This guy I hate to say it was on something. His constant twitches, and he was too tall to be that skinny. The jokes were that he was a meth addict. Thats hows gross he was looking. The night finally ended, and we fell asleep and woke up to eat king cake. :) Im about to go supply shopping in baton rouge because everything in the little hburg is over picked. art supplies are way too expensive. I am pretty much ready to have no life again this week, and hoping I can get all these projects done in order to have a social life.
